K-Pax and more

We had been avoiding watching K-Pax for a while, as most reviews said it was a major disappointment and not something you’d expect from big stars like Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges. Today, however, we decided to give it a shot and see if the movie really was that much of a let down.

Well it was bad! The acting was mediocre and the excessive use of storyline clichΓ©s was a major turn off! The plot? Well, it started off with a bang but then began to drag after an hour and went down hill to the soppy ending. If you are up for a disappointing turn by Spacey and Bridges, K-Pax is the your film.

Now it is 11:30 pm and the night is young. It’s time to watch The Hours. Gotta go!

  1. If you watch any movie with high expectations you will be most probably disapointed .. the good thing is that you watched K-Pax with a bad expectation so it did not end up to be as bad as you thought πŸ™‚
As for “The Hours” I would love to hear your say about it.. I will comment on my experience with the movie when you post about it πŸ™‚ Enjoy

  2. Dear Isam,
I loved The Hours. It was like a trip inside the messed up minds of women generally πŸ˜‰
I thought the star of the movie was Julianne Moore. Her performance was really top-notch. Kidman’s role as Virginia Woolf was also powerful. It was really fascinating to see what was going through the mind of this great writer. Her relationship with her husband was also intriguing and eye-opening.
Overall, I thought the movie was really good and very depressing! So what did you think Isam?

  3. Oops, looks like I’m “Lady Opposite” here :D, I LOVED K-Pax, thought it was amazing, new, and Spacey’s performance was really out of the world. I even thought of buying the DVD. And I HATED The Hours πŸ˜› It was depressing, long, and I thought it was boring. Well, tastes vary… and mine is weird.
