Kudos to the man behind the Planet

Isam

This is a quick post to salute the work of Jordanian blogger Isam Bayazidi. He just launched a new version of Jordan Planet and it looks really great. The new version has some additional features like "announcements," "memberships," plus a section for "friends of Jordan Planet." The site is certainly moving in the right direction and becoming a top-notch community.

Jordan Planet has spawned a vibrant, vocal on-line Jordanian community that is as diverse and eloquent as some of those more well-established Arab blogging communities out there. Isam is a pioneer and should get credit for shaping our wonderful blogging society. I take my hat off to you Isam.

For those of you interested, the husband has created a few buttons you can use to link to our wonderful renovated world.

  1. Well, without Jordanian Bloggers the Planet would be a very boring one šŸ™‚ Thanks should go for those who keep the planet active and livly. I will create a page for all those buttons, and the older ones from Haitham. As well, some pages will be open as a Wiki to allow Jordan Bloggers to edit them and make better. More details to come in the News section.. Thanks Natasha for salute, I take my hat off for you and your wonderful blog.
I noticed that your post has the date (16 Feb) although today is the 4th šŸ™‚

  2. We really are pleased to see the site shaping up as it is. Word on the street is, there’ll be an article about Jordanian bloggers coming up in Jo in the next month or so. That should put some light on things. It’ll be nice for it to look as sharp as it does. Thanks for the feedback on the buttons. There not quite where I want them — I rushed a bit to get them done for this post today — but I’ll tweak them a bit until they meet my standard šŸ˜‰ I think I like the third and fifth one from the left the best but I put the others up because well, you can’t account for taste šŸ˜‰
Keep up the great work Isam!
