One of my favourite Arab writers, Abdul Rahman Munif, died this morning. He died at the age of 71 in Syria. I met him on a couple of occasions in Jordan and was fortunate enough to have him sign a number his novels that I owned. I published a small news item about his death on Aljazeera. His death is a great loss. May his good soul rest in peace. |
